Cabo San Lucas - 02/21/2022

Today we find ourselves finally getting into the vibe of the vacation.  As I said in previous posts, we're staying in a condo this time, so we've spent more time getting food and supplies from the stores than we have in the past.  It's not bad...just different.  We woke up and had breakfast.  Fortunately, thanks to Walmart we have our coffee, which is essential for us.  Breakfast consisted of apple/spinach/feta sausages with sauteed onions, peppers, and jalapenos.  A good way to start the day.

We were lazy as not much to do and no place to go, which we like.  We did some reading and some other relaxing activities.  We have wanted to try out the pool at the condo, so we did that.  We took a couple of Tecate's along with ingredients to make our own palomas.  The pool was empty, so we were able to find the chairs we wanted and swim without anyone else in the pool.  It was much different than when we use our Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach junior suite.  Depending on the day and time, the pools on the resort can get packed with people and it can be hard to find chairs.  At the condo, we don't have the food and drink service that we love, but we also don't have to struggle finding places to sit.

We decided to have dinner at Las Guacamayas, which is a restaurant we found a couple of years ago.  The last time we were there it was for lunch, so we decided to try it for dinner.  I had a stone bowl with pork shoulder, chicken, cactus, green onion, and cojita cheese.  Debbie had something similar, but with shrimp rather than pork shoulder and chicken.  They were both delicious, and the salsa's that you get there are terrific and spicy.

Debbie was able to get some pictures of the sunset from the rooftop deck of our condo.  Still beautiful, but not as much as from Cibola.
